These are Sancheezie's observations from the first week of the NFL season. Some are obvious, some are face palms, and some are probably completely wrong.
-First thing first. My cheerleader pick of the week is Lyndsay R. from the Washington Redskins. They have a great looking squad and wow....she's quite the looker. Check out her profile and look for her on the sidelines!
Side note: I really wanted this to be all about football, but I just couldn't help finding a way to put a hot girl on the page. I'm pretty sure every football blog does this so I'm ok with it. If I was a guy, I'd put up Mark Sanchez's GQ pictures up....but I'm not...and I won't
-The Cincinnati Bengals and Oakland Raiders are both in first place? Of course it's early, but when was the last time that ever happened? Both Cincy QBs looked decent, of course it was against a Browns team that some say aren't great. I beg to differ...for the moment.
-Speaking of the Oakland Raiders, how about that 63 yard field goal by Janikowski. The only thing harder to do than that is to actually spell his name correctly!
-Tom Brady...Best QB in the business. I thought maybe Miami was going to keep it close and maybe pull out the win, but I was sadly mistaken and Brady went ahead and threw for 517 yards and I think four TDs. Take that Manning!!
-Breaking News: Romo is still a choke artist. I used to think Manning was the leagues best CA, but Romo takes the cake. Mark Sanchez will give you every opportunity to win a game if you're the opposing team, but when you take a snap to the chest and fumble on your own one yard line it's hard for a good overall team like the New York Jets to not lose. I can see why Jimmy Norton hates Romo!
-Dear Indy, OUCH!!! I'm still not sure who to blame for this blowout. Is it Coach Caldwell? Is it Kerry Collins? I'm blaming Peyton Manning. He's always making it about him (Hmmm..maybe he'll be the subject of the next 'IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU'!). I'm not sure what I mean by that yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Honestly, I think they should just forfeit. They know they aren't going to win...they're just waiting on Manning to get healthy and are throwing these games away. Did they really think that bringing a QB in half way through the preseason was good enough? Sounds like the fans get hosed on this one.
-I love my New York Jets and I will cheer for them if they finally make it to the big game in Indy, but Sancheezie is officially selecting the Green Bay Packers as repeat Super Bowl Champions. (I'm really going out a limb here, huh?)
-Cam Newton threw for over 400 yards in his first NFL game?!?! Wait, isn't he suspended for a few games for selling memorabilia? I might have the wrong guy.
FAIL OF THE WEEK: NFC SOUTH - I couldn't name the four teams in the NFC South off the top of my head, hell I didn't even realize that the Lions were an NFC team until yesterday, but the NFC South were all defeated this week. Not one win. I doubt this means anything, but I just wanted to point out that they are all losers!
Sancheezie Fantasy Games
This week I was 1-1 in two fantasy leagues and only picked 7 of 16 games correctly against the spread to finish 2nd to last in my pick'em league. In all fairness, the one game I lost, I played against Brady who put up 60, but in all fairness to my opponent, I lost by more than 60.
Pick 'em League
Aerosmith Fantasy League
All Across America League
