IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU - "Miss Sprint Cup"

IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU is a new feature on Sancheezie where I comment on people who think things are about them. Of course this will probably be the only time I do it, but really this is the only time I need to do it because it's about Miss Sprint Cup. I could actually feature her (all three of them) every week after every race, but then they would not only be hijacking the post race interview, but they'd also be hijacking Sancheezie. I can't have that.

So anyone that knows me is familiar with the fact that I'm a NASCAR fan. I can't
say that there are many half-breed Mexicans that follow the sport, but I am one of the few. And anyone that knows I am fan knows that I LOATHE Miss Sprint Cup. I'm all about the cheerleader. I understand the importance of a cheerleader to an organization. They help promote, sell, and spread the word about the product, in this case the Sprint brand. I actually know more about cheerleaders than most realize, but this isn't about me so I will spare you. I used to follow Miss Sprint Cup on Facebook when I was on there and I follow her on Twitter. Now so may ask why I would follow someone I hate, but if you ask any soldier, you have to keep an eye on your enemy. I'm sure she does a lot of good things. She is an ambassador to the sport, she promotes Sprint products, which I own and use, and celebrates the sport anyway she can. However she does one thing that is so annoying that it negates everything she does for a race in the matter of a couple of minutes. She makes the post race interview with the winner about her.

If you ever watch a NASCAR race and watch the interview with the winner, you will see Miss Sprint Cup behind the winner of the race. She will smile, nod, and make sure she's in every shot...like she was part of the team and was actually in the car helping the driver to the finish line. You don't see the crew chief, team owner or even the driver's wife, you see Miss Sprint Cup. Tonight's race in Richmond, the last race before the Chase begins, was no different. The girl, Jaclyn Roney, who was in the interview tonight looked like she didn't know what she was doing. She couldn't get into the shot. I think the cameraman is as annoyed as I am week after week and tried to cut her out of the shot, but someone was behind the camera was telling her to move to her right so she'd get in the shot behind Kevin Harvick, the race winner. Harvick himself had to deal with someone behind the camera when the interview first started and you can see he was flustered, but being the professional he is, he got things back on track. Not so much for Miss Sprint Cup. She kept looking at the camera, looking to the side, looking at the people behind the camera giving her commands...just making it about her. It was very awkward and it took away from what Harvick was saying. If I was a sponsor of Harvick's I'd be upset that no one heard what he had to say because their attention was diverted from him to Miss Sprint Cup. If you watch the video, which I'm embarrassed to say I had to record with my Flip Cam off the TV, you can see how she struggles the whole interview (just over two minutes) to get her face on the camera. She almost has to push herself behind Harvick as he's nearly standing against the car.

But maybe it's not her fault..I think she's new because as I was trying to find her name and instead I found out something I LOVE about Miss Sprint Cup. Earlier this year one of the Miss Sprint Cups was fired for nude photos. How great is that?!?! Her name? Paige Duke. I won't post the photos on here, but you all know how to find 'em if you really want to see them. She's quite the looker. Too bad she had to go. At least she doesn't have to wear that awful fire suit that covered up that awesome body.

Sorry this got long, but I had a lot on my chest about this. Ten more races and I don't have to see her anymore this year. YAY! And yes, I flooded this post with pictures of Paige Duke that I stole off the Interwebs. Enjoy!
