Boy, my grandma loved her QVC. If your Christmas present wasn't ordered from QVC that year, it was because she ordered it the year before, lost it, and found it when she was hiding the next year's presents. She was starting to get on the Internet in her later years, but there wasn't a QVC.com she could go to to order things. At least I'm not aware of her doing so, but if she knew how, I'm sure she would be scrolling through each page and it would be so easy that we'd all be getting extra presents. If I remember correctly, she had the QVC customer service number taped to her phone just in case. That's how much she loved that channel and buying things from it. She'd probably be in constant ordering frenzy if she knew about the new "deal" sites that are popping up every day on the Internet
Sites like Groupon, Woot, and DealNews are becoming more and more popular. You can find the best deals on the Internet for things you need and things you don't. I visit the sites daily or at least get an email telling me the latest and greatest deals. I have brought everything from flying monkeys ($2)that scream to shoes (addidas $17) to Colgate Wisp sticks ($5 for 48--those should be making their way to Missouri tomorrow). Visiting these sites is a great way to find deals on anything from cheap car washes to laser hair removal. I'm looking forward to the back hair removal coupon if it ever comes up again. I'm becoming obsessed with these sites. Sometimes I check them before I even check my Facebook. I don't want to miss a beat. I even buy things for other people just because it's a good deal. If you haven't become familiar with these sites yet, I dare you not to become an addict. Check out some of the sites below that I visit every day. Hopefully Grandma isn't rubbing off on me!!!
Woot! --One deal a day. Woot Shirts are popular items especially for those Missouri girls.
Deal News --An assortment of the best deals on the Internet from clothing to TVs to computers.
Living Social --Similar to Woot but the one deal is for local businesses.
Groupon --Similar to Woot but the one deal is for local businesses.
Slick Deals --Another assortment site with a wide range of deals on the Internet.

You remembered her QVC shopping experiences perfectly! Gotta love Grandma :)
